It makes us happy too...

I was lying in bed last night reading a book that I couldn’t put down, staying up so late that I knew I would regret it in the morning. I looked over at Sadie who was deep in sleep. I could tell that she was experiencing a great adventure; maybe running after a rabbit or a bird on a spring day. I reached over and patted her on the soft part of her ears. Even in her sleep she thumped her tail in recognition and happiness. I wonder why we as humans can’t be more like that? So at peace within ourselves that when someone reaches out to us, the only thing worth knowing is that when we make them happy it makes us happy too.
